To support its goal to double the size of its business in five years, a global consulting firm partnered with PlatinumBlack to bring greater speed, precision, and impact to its U.S. marketing function. The collaboration focused on building and executing marketing strategies across priority sectors, each designed to translate industry expertise into brand awareness, and brand awareness into pipeline. PlatinumBlack provided a cross-disciplinary suite of strategy, marketing, and creative services to define sector-specific messaging and positioning, develop and activate campaigns, and track, monitor, and optimize performance, establishing a new foundation for the company’s go-to-market efforts in the U.S. 

The challenge: Building a scalable marketing engine to match the firm’s growth ambitions  

With strong brand equity, the firm was well positioned for growth, but its internal marketing organization lacked the scale to meet its ambition. Sector teams and leaders were producing content and driving visibility, but there was no consistent go-to-market model across the firm. Efforts were often reactive and fragmented, with limited connection to revenue outcomes and no cohesive measurement system in place. 

 

Heading into a critical business planning cycle, the firm needed to move faster and more strategically. It needed a partner to help connect the dots and make marketing more measurable and commercially effective. 

Uncovering the insights needed for growth

PlatinumBlack began by working directly with the client’s U.S. Chief Growth Officer, Go-To-Market Lead, and business unit executives to understand the firm’s near-and long-term priorities. The engagement focused on several high-potential sectors—Healthcare, Food & Beverage, Packaging, Travel & Leisure, Footwear & Apparel, and Operations & Supply Chain—each of which had unique strengths, challenges, and levels of marketing maturity. 

 

Across all six, the first step was strategic clarity. PlatinumBlack led focused research and discovery to understand audience needs, competitive dynamics, and commercial opportunities. In each sector, we developed a distinct messaging strategy rooted in customer value. In one priority sector, we elevated the firm’s annual consumer report into a flagship marketing campaign to maximize both visibility and impact. 

 

From there, we moved quickly into planning and activation. Each sector received a custom-built marketing strategy complete with campaign priorities, content plans, activation calendars, and audience targeting approaches. We didn’t stop at planning—we helped bring each campaign to life through creative, social media, and leadership communications, all anchored in a unique creative wrapper that gave the work visual distinction while connecting it back to the master brand and adjacent campaigns already in flight. 

 

The introduction of a unified performance dashboard gave the marketing function enduring visibility and credibility across the business. Until that point, the firm had limited visibility into marketing performance and a disparate, disconnected technology stack that made analytics reporting challenging. We designed a cross-channel reporting system that connected systems and aggregated data from the website, social media, Salesforce CRM, and campaign platforms to provide full-funnel visibility. The dashboard became a critical tool for monthly reporting, marketing prioritization, and C-suite alignment.  

Results, delivered 

Each sector now has a clear, actionable go-to-market strategy that reflects its unique strengths and priorities. The analytics dashboard has become a central source of truth, shaping priorities, tracking performance, and helping the marketing team guide decisions with data. Perhaps most important, the project laid the foundation for long-term growth, turning the company’s go-to-market operation into a visible, trusted driver of growth for the business – and one prepared to scale.
